The U.S. Army Contracting Command-Rock Island at Picatinny, on behalf of the Office of the Project Manager for Combat Ammunition Systems, is conducting market research to identify potential sources capable of manufacturing and delivering the 155mm Artillery Cannister Assembly. The required scope involves producing and delivering the assembly's four core components, which include a 4140 steel payload canister, a 7075 T6 aluminum payload cover, and two types of clocking keys made from AISI S2 or S7 tool steel. To qualify, sources must demonstrate the capability to meet escalating production rates, starting at 450 canisters per year by October 2027 and reaching 10,000 canisters per year by January 2031. To receive the restricted technical data package for this effort under solicitation W15QKN-26-X-1CJZ, interested parties must submit a completed DD Form 2345, AMSTA-AR Form 1350, and a signed Non-Disclosure Agreement.
