Contract Opportunity Analysis

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a qualified, independent third-party contractor to conduct a commercial Fire Protection Code Life Safety Assessment Survey at the James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital in Tampa, Florida. The selected contractor must perform a comprehensive on-site survey of Building 100 and the Building 1 Pipe Basement to identify National Fire Protection Association code deficiencies and document discrepancies with existing life safety drawings. Crucially, the on-site survey must be conducted by certified Fire Protection Engineers with at least 10 years of healthcare-facility experience, and subcontracting is strictly prohibited. The on-site work must commence within 30 days of award, span no more than 5 consecutive days, and conclude with a final deficiency report submitted within 10 days of survey completion.
