Warping Capstan for Mooring Station load test

The Department of Defense, through the Naval Supply Systems Command Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound, is seeking contractor support for a Sources Sought Notice regarding the load testing of warping capstans at the Ship Repair Facility in Sasebo, Japan. The primary objective is to perform static rated load testing on the No. 1 and No. 2 Warping Capstan Assemblies for Mooring Stations No. 5 and No. 6, respectively, each requiring a static load test of 280,000 pounds to ensure compliance with Navy operational specifications following maintenance or overhaul. This testing is critical for verifying the operational readiness of the capstans, which are essential components for mooring vessels.
