Intent to Sole Source Seawolf HPAC

Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility, within the Department of the Navy, is seeking an OEM to support a sole-source firm fixed-price award for Seawolf HPAC work. The scope covers the air end overhaul of the No. 2 High Pressure Air Compressor and shipboard testing on a Seawolf-class submarine, including required materials, travel, technical representatives, and project reporting. The work is to follow OEM specifications and strict work controls, with compliance for nuclear work prohibitions, minimum Confidential clearance access to Restricted Data and Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information, and coordination with the COR and Ship’s Force at the engine room site in Silverdale, Washington. The period of performance is estimated for May 2026 through June 2026, and the government will consider clear and convincing capability documentation from interested parties in deciding whether to compete the requirement.
