The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is planning to award a sole source contract to OpenMined for research on privacy-enhancing technologies and their role in online radicalization, as part of the Christchurch Call Initiative on Algorithmic Outcomes (CCIAO). The objective is to develop and refine software infrastructure that enables the study of the impacts of algorithms on users' online experiences while ensuring user privacy and system security. This initiative is crucial for understanding and countering the drivers of terrorism and violent extremism online, aligning with commitments made by the U.S. Government and international partners.
