Ultrasonic Side Scan Testing Services

This Statement of Work (SOW) outlines the requirements for Ultrasonic Side Scan Testing Services for various U.S. Coast Guard vessels at the Coast Guard Yard in Baltimore, MD. The contractor will provide personnel, equipment, and services to conduct "Scanning Crawler Automated Tests" to detect metal corrosion and deterioration on vessel hulls, freeboard plating, decks, and tanks. Key requirements include ASNT Level III certified analysts overseeing projects and Level II/III analysts verifying thin areas with handheld gauges. Scanning parameters specify color-coding for wastage levels: red for ≥25%, yellow for 15-24%, and green for <15% of nominal plate thickness. Automated scanning resolution is set at 0.5” x 0.5”. The contractor must submit a detailed report within three working days of inspection, including C-scan images and a plate summary. Personnel must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents and comply with RAPIDGate security requirements. The contract is an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) with a one-year base period and four one-year option periods.
