VALVE, GLOBE

The Department of the Navy, NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support Mechanicsburg, is seeking a contractor to manufacture and deliver a complete 1/2-inch socket weld in-line stop valve with backseat under solicitation number VALVE, GLOBE. The contractor must fabricate the valve assembly in accordance with NAVSHIPS drawing 803-2177525, which represents a special emphasis, critical shipboard system component. This procurement requires strict adherence to ISO-9001 quality standards, quantitative chemical and mechanical certifications for parts requiring traceability, and contractor-conducted non-destructive first article testing on one unit. Proposals are evaluated utilizing past performance as a factor, and the resulting bilateral contract will carry a DO priority rating for national defense use.
