J041--Condensate Pump Replacements

This federal solicitation (36C24126Q0792) is a Small Business set-aside request for quotation (RFQ) issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Connecticut Healthcare System. The objective is to secure a firm-fixed-price contract for the replacement of condensate pumps and associated piping in Building 1 (Mechanical Room SG182) and Building 2 (Mechanical Room G139) at the West Haven VA Medical Center. The project aims to restore safe and effective lead/lag condensate pump operations to improve boiler plant efficiency, reduce corrosion risks, and lower makeup water usage. The scope of work includes the removal of defective pump skids, installation of four new pump skids, electrical and control upgrades (including Variable Frequency Drive and Building Automation System integration), piping corrections, and insulation. To be eligible, bidders must have a field representative located within 200 miles of the West Haven campus, possess OEM training on the specific equipment, and have prior steam distribution experience with VA Connecticut Healthcare System. Mobilization and dedicated steam outages must occur outside of regular business hours (Friday 5:00 p.m. to Sunday 5:00 p.m.). The contractor must also comply with strict VA policies, including confined space entry, Lock out/Tag out, OSHA certifications, and Tuberculosis testing.
