Contract Opportunity Analysis
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is seeking a contractor to service and repair the 30-foot research vessel R/V Potawaugh. The scope of work requires replacing the vessel's twin 300-hp 4-stroke outboard engines, installing a new integrated Garmin or equivalent marine electronics suite, performing hull cleaning, applying anti-fouling paint, and replacing brackish-water anodes. To ensure operational feasibility, all physical maintenance and sea trials must be performed at a secure marine repair facility located within a 60-mile maximum transit radius of the vessel's home port in Edgewater, Maryland. The anticipated period of performance runs from September 30, 2026, to December 30, 2026, and evaluations will be conducted using Lowest Price, Technically Acceptable procedures.
