Notice of Intent to Sole Source: DeDietrich Agitator Repair for SA1500 Reactor.
Contract Opportunity Analysis
The USDA Forest Service intends to award a sole-source contract to DeDietrich USA, Inc. for the repair and reglassing of a damaged agitator for its SA1500 reactor. Under the scope of work, the contractor must inspect the damaged agitator, strip the existing glass, repair the underlying steel structure, reglass the unit to original specifications, and perform integrity testing. The completed unit will then be shipped back for on-site installation by a contractor-provided service engineer with a new cartridge seal. This work will take place at the Forest Products Laboratory in Madison, Wisconsin, where the 1500-gallon glass-lined reactor is utilized to produce cellulose nanomaterials.
