REAL/RUSB Systems
Contract Opportunity Analysis
The Department of the Air Force, Air Force Test Center, intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price contract to Quality Research, Development & Consulting, Inc. (QRDC) to procure reusable military airdrop equipment. The scope of work requires the delivery of five Reusable Energy Absorbing Layer (REAL) and Reusable Universal Skid Board (RUSB) systems, which include handling accessories, five sets of four-handle assemblies, and shipping. These proprietary systems are designed to replace single-use honeycomb pads and legacy plywood skid boards to lower aircrew training costs and improve productivity. Deliveries are required within 90 days after receipt of order to Edwards Air Force Base in California. Although the government intends to award on a sole-source basis, capability statements or quotations from other responsible sources may be submitted to Karla Vazquez by July 16, 2026, at 12:00 PM PDT.
