The Department of the Air Force, on behalf of the Air Force Institute of Technology, is procuring a Cathodoluminescence Detector System to support microelectronics and materials research. The contractor must deliver, install, and provide training for the system, which must integrate with an existing Zeiss Crossbeam 350 Scanning Electron Microscope. Key technical requirements include a detection range of at least 1000–300 nanometers, spectroscopic resolution to 0.1 eV of error or better, and temperature control reaching a minimum of -185 degrees Celsius.
