ENVIRONMENTAL CHAMBER

This government Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Bureau of Reclamation (USBR) seeks a new environmental chamber for concrete, aggregate, soils, and rock testing. The current 37-year-old chamber is outdated and requires frequent repairs. The new chamber must be a freestanding, reach-in unit with specific internal dimensions (75-85 cu. ft. minimum 48 inches in any direction), capable of -30 °C to 180 °C temperature and 10% to 95% RH humidity, with a shelf load capacity of 75 lbs per shelf and a total of 450 lbs. It needs two shelves, 480V hardwired power, a UL 508A compliant control panel, a stainless steel interior, no exposed heating elements, forced air convection, digital temperature display, and a main power disconnect. Optional features include a touchscreen controller, dry air purge, and a 6kW boost heater. The chamber must be new, with parts available for 10 years and a minimum 1-year manufacturer’s warranty. Delivery is FOB Destination to Denver, CO, requiring 48 hours advance notice and occurring Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM-2:00 PM Mountain Time. All equipment must be delivered in a single shipment within 180 days of award. Payment is firm-fixed-price, contingent on delivery and acceptance, and requires electronic submission via the Invoice Processing Platform (IPP) with a signed invoice attached.
