The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District, is soliciting a firm-fixed-price, unrestricted contract for maintenance dredging of the New York and New Jersey Channels in the Seguine/Ward/Outerbridge Federal Navigation Project. The work requires dredging about 330,000 cubic yards of shoaled material to a depth of -35 feet MLLW plus 2 feet allowable overdepth and placing the dredged material at the Historic Area Remediation Site. The contractor is expected to use a mechanical dredge with an environmental clamshell bucket, along with bottom-dumping barges, tugboats, and survey vessels, while meeting federal, state, and local requirements and maintaining at least 8,000 cubic yards per day; dredging is also prohibited in specified areas from October 1 to November 30. Bids are due May 15, 2026, at 2:00 PM EST at 26 Federal Plaza, Room 16-300 in New York, with required bid documents and a bid guarantee, and questions are due May 8, 2026. The government expects award in late June 2026, with work anticipated between September and December 2026.
