Notice of Intent to Sole Source

The Department of the Army, through the Mission and Installation Contracting Command at Fort Sam Houston, intends to award a sole-source contract to Bruker Scientific, LLC for proprietary MALDI Biotyper software modules. The required commercial software licenses will upgrade an existing government-owned Bruker Biotyper instrument to enable mission-essential sub-species microbial speciation of foodborne pathogens. Work will be performed at the Food Analysis and Diagnostic Laboratory in JBSA Fort Sam Houston, Texas, with a required one-time delivery within approximately eight weeks after receipt of order.
