CH-53K Program O-Level Bag: Alignment Tool

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division at Lakehurst, New Jersey, part of the Department of the Navy, intends to award a fixed-price sole-source contract to Safran Electrical & Power for an Alignment Tool, PMA, part number 31610-9120, to support the CH-53K program. The work is for purchase of two tools in the base and two in an option period, with an additional option for two tools in support of Foreign Military Sales Israel for O-level maintenance of the CH-53K aircraft. The requirement is being pursued under FAR 6.302-1 because Safran is identified as the sole developer, designer, and manufacturer with proprietary data, and the Government states it lacks the technical data or equipment to source the item elsewhere.
