Contract Opportunity Analysis
The Air Force Metrology and Calibration Program within the Department of the Air Force is conducting market research for two continuous wave lasers to support the Air Force Primary Standards Laboratory in Heath, Ohio. The acquisition is intended to obtain primary optical power sources for calibrating and verifying high-accuracy power meters and replacing aging legacy standards. Vendors must be able to provide lasers meeting minimum requirements including 1064 nm wavelength, adjustable 1–20 W continuous-wave output, vertically polarized output, and stability suitable for metrology laboratory use, and reconditioned, remanufactured, or used material is not acceptable. Responses should include technical documentation, product literature, estimated delivery timelines, ROM pricing, and company information, and should be submitted by 06/12/2026 at 2:00 pm ET by email to Megan Moretti, with fax and mail options also listed under reference 27E-335A-LA.
