Intent to Sole Source

The Army Contracting Command – Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Tobyhanna Division, intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price contract to Alta Enterprises Inc. for a turnkey CNC equipment solution. This acquisition, consisting of Eurotech BMX45-SY2 Rapido CNC Turning Centers and Kobra 20SLY-X Swiss Lathes with associated equipment, is critical for establishing domestic manufacturing capability for sUAS motor components. The sole-source justification cites substantial duplication of costs (estimated at $3,137,000 over five years), existing fleet commonality with Eurotech machines, technical superiority and facility constraints (requiring fewer machines and less space), and cybersecurity compliance through Eurotech’s commitment to the Vendor STIG Development Process.
