58--SYNTHESIZER,ELECTRI, IN REPAIR/MODIFICATION OF

The Department of the Navy, NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support, intends to award a contract for the repair and modification of electronic synthesizers. The required work encompasses a quantity of 44 synthesizers, identified under National Stock Number 7R-5895-011629391-GL and reference number 647-3487-002, with delivery designated as FOB Origin. Because this flight-critical item requires specialized engineering skills and proprietary technical data, the government intends to negotiate with only the previously approved source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Unapproved sources seeking qualification must submit a comprehensive source approval request package to NAVSUP WSS for evaluation.
