Positive Pressure Suits
Contract Opportunity Analysis
The National Institutes of Health’s Office of Logistics and Acquisition Operations is conducting a sources sought market survey for BSL-4 positive pressure suits to assess the availability and capability of qualified small business sources. The work centers on supplying replacement suits for high-containment laboratories, with each suit intended to support researcher safety during daily use and chemical shower exposure. The suits must be made from material resistant to quaternary virucidal chemical showers and include an in-line HEPA filtration system connected to a facility-provided breathing air system via standard Parker quick connections, with air delivered at 60 PSI, 25 cfm internal suit air distribution, right-side hose hookup, air- and watertight seams, stocking-type feet, and low internal noise that allows clear communication. Responses are limited to small businesses under NAICS 315990 and should include the firm’s size status and capability statement. Capability statements are due by 1:00 p.m. EST on Friday, May 15, 2026, by email to Tonia Alexander with subject line SS-75N98026Q00250.
