Dakota Skipper Surveys, Dakota Prairie Grasslands
Contract Opportunity Analysis
The Department of Agriculture, specifically the Forest Service, is seeking qualified small businesses to conduct presence/absence surveys for the endangered Dakota Skipper butterfly and other sensitive butterfly species within the Dakota Prairie Grasslands in North Dakota. The project aims to gather critical data through fieldwork, which includes developing a work plan and submitting a final report with GIS deliverables, all while adhering to the Dakota Skipper North Dakota Survey Protocol. This initiative is vital for conservation efforts and land management within the region, particularly in the McKenzie and Medora Ranger Districts. Interested contractors must submit their technical and price proposals by September 5, 2025, to Andrea Haines at andrea.haines@usda.gov, with evaluations based on technical experience, past performance, and price.
