59--DATA TRANSFER UNIT, IN REPAIR/MODIFICATION OF

The Department of the Navy, NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support, is issuing a presolicitation for the repair and modification of 108 units of a flight-critical Data Transfer Unit. The scope of work involves National Stock Number 7R-5999-016517373-CC under technical data package version 004, with delivery terms designated as FOB Origin. Because the production and repair of this item involve unclassified but militarily sensitive technology, acquisition is restricted to government-approved sources. Unapproved sources must submit a comprehensive source approval request with their proposal to be considered for award, although the government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1.
