NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: USAFA Liquid Nitrogen Plant/Generator

The Department of Defense, specifically the 10th Contracting Squadron at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado, has issued a notice of intent to award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price purchase order to Bluefors Cryocooler Technologies Inc. The procurement requires the purchase and delivery of two liquid nitrogen plants/generators. To meet operational requirements, each system must produce at least 60 liters of liquid nitrogen per day at an operating altitude of 7,500 feet, utilize an air-cooled helium compressor, and fit within a spatial footprint of 6.5 feet by 6 feet.
