VALVE,SAFETY RELIEF

The Department of Defense, Department of the Navy, through NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support Mechanical, is soliciting a valve safety relief item for use in a critical shipboard system. The requirement is for a complete relief valve built to Anderson Greenwood Co. Drawing 11.1427, Assembly 11.1427.012, with a relief set pressure of 1422 psig plus or minus 28 psig, and with the specified material, testing, and certification support. The procurement is treated as special emphasis material with stringent quality and traceability controls, including required quality assurance documentation, source inspection at the government level, and an acceptable quality assurance manual for award eligibility; the resultant order will also be a DPAS-rated bilateral award. Certification data must be submitted through WAWF for Portsmouth Naval Shipyard review and acceptance before each shipment, and no material may ship until acceptance is received.
