NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE ACTION to GEOCOMP, INC, XC9FVP8ETDL1, 125 Nagog Park Acton, Massachusetts 01720-3451 for GeoComp LoadTrac II Resilient Modulus and Unconfined Compression Testing Upgrades

The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), Western Federal Lands Highway Division (WFLHD), has issued a Special Notice announcing its intent to award a sole-source contract to Geocomp, Inc. The procurement is for upgrades to the GeoComp LoadTrac II Resilient Modulus and Unconfined Compression Testing systems. This non-competitive action is conducted under FAR Part 12 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The applicable NAICS code is 334519 (Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing) and the Product Service Code is 6635. Delivery of the upgrades is required within 60 days of the order. While this notice does not constitute a formal solicitation or request for proposals, interested parties who believe they can provide equivalent equipment and services may submit an Expression of Interest. Submissions must include detailed technical and pricing data demonstrating comparable capabilities. The government will utilize these responses solely to determine whether a competitive procurement is warranted.
