F--VEGA SP WFM PROJECT
Contract Opportunity Analysis
The Bureau of Reclamation’s Western Colorado Area Office, within the Department of the Interior, is seeking a sole-source service arrangement with Colorado State University for the Vega State Park Wildland Fire Management Project. The work supports hazardous fuel reduction, lower wildland fire risk, and improved forest health through oversight of tree thinning activities. Colorado State Forest Service is identified as the sole-source provider because of its unique authority, experience managing thinning on public lands, and administrative capacity, and the effort continues fire hazard mitigation work begun in 2020 at Vega State Park. This is not a competitive solicitation, no solicitation will be released through the GPE, and interested parties may submit capability statements.
