7.62MM Semi-Automatic Sniper System (SASS) – M110, Variants, Accessories, Spare Parts, Special Tools & Training

The Department of Defense, through the Army Contracting Command-New Jersey, is planning to solicit a sole source contract for the procurement of the 7.62mm Semi-Automatic Sniper System (SASS) – M110 and its variants, along with associated accessories, spare parts, special tools, and training. This contract, intended for Knight’s Armament Company, is based on the authority of Title 10 U.S.C. §3204(a)(1) due to unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirements, and it will be structured as a five-year Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The M110 system is critical for military operations, having been identified as the only product meeting the necessary performance specifications, thus ensuring timely delivery and avoiding substantial costs associated with competition.
