3AXIS MILL TOOLING
Contract Opportunity Analysis
The Department of Energy, through its contractor UT-Battelle, LLC, is seeking 3-axis mill tooling and accessories for use at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee. Vendors must supply specialized high-precision machining equipment, including CAT40 rigid tap holders, DualContact ER collet chucks, hydraulic expansion toolholders, reduction sleeves, coolant seal collet sets, and full grip jaw sets from brands like Lyndex-Nikken and Schunk or equivalent alternatives. This procurement is a full and open competition resulting in a firm-fixed-price subcontract evaluated on a lowest-priced, technically acceptable basis. Delivery drivers must be U.S. citizens to access the facility, and electrical components require certification by a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory. Clarifying questions are due by August 12, 2026, and final proposals must be submitted to Procurement Officer Morgan Hale at halemt@ornl.gov by August 14, 2026, at 5:00 PM EST.
