RFI - CJIS Decentralized Info Sharing

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), specifically its Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Division Enterprise Architecture (EA) team, has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to explore capabilities for a national decentralized information sharing environment. This RFI aims to identify solutions that allow states to analyze and share criminal justice and public safety information from Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) and Law Enforcement Records Management Systems (LERMS) without centralizing data. The goal is to improve scalability, maintain state control over data, and enhance intrastate and interstate information sharing through a decentralized, extensible, and standards-based approach. The FBI is seeking information from manufacturers specializing in government cloud-hosted services and IT professional environments regarding their ability to provide such a system, including technical capabilities, GSA schedule information, and budgetary pricing.
