SX20-LED Stopped Flow System and associated components

This Sources Sought Notice (#PCA-NIEHS-04985) is issued by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) on behalf of the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS). The government is seeking capability statements from qualified small businesses to determine the availability of sources for a firm-fixed-price, one-time procurement of an SX20-LED Stopped Flow System and associated components, including training and warranty support. The instrument will support the Nucleolar Integrity Group in studying rapid biochemical reactions on millisecond timescales, specifically focusing on ribosome biogenesis, RNA degradation, and multi-protein complex formation. Key technical requirements for the system include high-sensitivity fluorescence and absorbance detection, a specialized light pipe, LED-based excitation, low-volume flow cells (5 µL and 20 µL) to minimize sample consumption, and precise temperature control ranging from -20°C to 60°C. Interested small businesses must submit a capability statement of no more than seven pages. Submissions must include company details, business size status, UEI number, and staff qualifications.
