Chicken Egg & Select Seafood Price Data
Contract Opportunity Analysis
The Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics, through the Producer Price Index Program Office, is seeking subscription services to obtain aggregated current-month chicken egg and select seafood price data for use in calculating PPI indexes. The work calls for monthly chicken egg pricing across six U.S. regions by size, along with weighted average prices for tuna, shrimp, crabs, lobster, clams, oysters, sea scallops, and mussels. All data must reflect wholesale transactions from the first fourteen days of the month, and interested firms are asked to describe their capabilities, historical experience, business type, and ability to provide the required data. This is a sources sought and RFI notice rather than a solicitation, and responses are due by May 18, 2026.
