R--US Native Turtles - Housing Care Testing

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is seeking veterinary and animal care support services to house, care for, test, and manage confiscated native U.S. turtles and tortoises to support their repatriation into the wild. The contractor must operate a year-round, climate-controlled facility capable of housing up to 500 animals, conducting genetic and pathogen testing, implementing sterile PIT tag identification, and maintaining strict chain-of-custody protocols for active legal evidence. Performance is scheduled to run from September 1, 2026, through August 31, 2027, with the facility prepared to accept animals by October 1, 2026.
