Contract Opportunity Analysis
The Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration, Central Federal Lands Highway Division, is seeking sources for the NV BL SONV 500(3) Red Rock Trail project. The scope of work consists of constructing approximately seven miles of paved multi-use trail, widening State Highway 159 for additional turn lane width, and reconstructing the Moenkopi and Blue Diamond Mesa parking areas. The project is located in Las Vegas, Nevada, within the highly environmentally sensitive Red Rock Conservation Area and features principal work items such as embankment construction, roadway aggregate, asphalt concrete pavement, a precast reinforced concrete box culvert, and MSE walls. Interested small businesses must demonstrate the capability to bond for a single project of $30 million and have past experience performing trail construction, highway widening, parking area reconstruction, and grade-separated under-crossings in environmentally sensitive areas.
