The Asheville VA Medical Center seeks an additional CD/DVD burner for its Diagnostic Imaging PACS Administrative office to handle the increasing volume of patient exam disc requests. The device will download studies from the Radiology PACS system, burn images and reports, and print readable labels. The vendor must deliver the equipment within 30 days and perform remote installation and training within 45 days. The Statement of Work also outlines extensive VA information and information system security/privacy requirements for contractors, including compliance with federal laws, VA directives, background security investigations, data handling protocols, security incident reporting, and mandatory annual training. Contractors are liable for liquidated damages in the event of a data breach involving sensitive personal information.

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 6 (NCO 6), has issued a Sources Sought Notice for market research purposes to identify qualified vendors for a CD/DVD Burner System with onsite installation and training for the Asheville VA Medical Center. This notice is not a request for proposal. The required system must be brand name or equal to Sorva Vertex 25ei, capable of burning both CD and DVD media (minimum 100 discs per day), with an embedded PC/Controller, preloaded software integrated with VA PACS, DICOM compliant, and able to import, index, merge, and burn DICOM images. It must create custom labels, offer encryption and anonymization, and include a preconfigured workstation (Windows 11 minimum). A minimum one-year warranty with support and onsite installation, configuration, and training is required. Interested parties must respond via email by March 12, 2026, 1:00 PM EDT, providing company information, socio-economic size, FSS/GSA contract details, Tax ID, UEI number, NAICS code, and a capabilities statement.
