The Department of Veterans Affairs, through Network Contract Office 19, is seeking a firm-fixed-price cost-per-kit equipment rental arrangement for pathology lab special stains at the James Mountain Inhofe VA Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The work calls for an automated special stains instrument and related support, including equipment, parts, service, maintenance, installation, validation support, and training, to replace manual tissue-sample staining processes. The system must be a standalone unit that can bake, deparaffinize, and stain slides, handle 1 to 20 slides, maintain independent temperatures from 37°C to 75°C, and provide at least 25 reagent positions while supporting specified stains such as TRICHROME BLUE, PAP, AFB, Alcian Blue, Congo Red, Giemsa, GMS, Gram, Iron, Mucicarmine, PAS, Reticulum II, Steiner II, and Jones H&E. Evaluation is based on technical capability, price, and past performance, and the period of performance is July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2031.
