The Naval Sea Systems Command, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD), Code 552, has issued a Sources Sought Notice (N64498-25-SIMACQ-PD-55-0088) for the procurement of Siemens PLC hardware and software. This is to support the DDG-51 program's transition from VME to Siemens PLC-based technology for Data Interface Unit (DIU) consoles. The required Siemens hardware and software will be used for software development, unit testing, Machinery Control System (MCS) validation, system integration, and training at NSWCPD Lab and Land Based Engineering Site (LBES). The goal is to deploy a fully validated MCS system for DDG-51 New Construction, Modernization, and Technical Refresh programs. The procurement is for a brand-name, Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) purchase order, with an anticipated 8-week period of performance starting at the time of award. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) is expected in October 2025. Interested businesses, including various small business concerns, are requested to submit a Capability Statement within 15 days of posting. The statement should include company profile, confirmation of ability to supply specified materials and quantities, pricing information, delivery details, and warranty information.
