MANATEE SHAFT SEAL INSTALLATION

The Department of Homeland Security, United States Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistics Center is seeking a contractor for the installation of the shaft seal on the United States Coast Guard Cutter Manatee. The required scope of work involves providing a Chesterton seal system-certified Original Equipment Manufacturer Technical Representative to advise on proprietary system information and assist with the disassembly, reassembly, and installation of the vessel's shaft seals. Utilizing government-furnished equipment and rebuild kits, the contractor will rebuild the mechanical and inflatable shaft seals in accordance with Coast Guard Technical Publication 4499. The place of performance is the U.S. Coast Guard Yard in Baltimore, Maryland, under a total small business set-aside with services scheduled on or around July 30, 2026.
