The Department of the Navy, NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support, is seeking quotes for the procurement of specialized metal bar material to be used in critical shipboard systems. Contractors must deliver quenched and tempered alloy steel and stainless steel bolting materials meeting ASTM-A193 Grade B16 specifications, with requested diameters including 1-inch and 3/8-inch configurations. Because the material is designated as Special Emphasis Level I/SUBSAFE, the contractor must maintain strict traceability, perform magnetic particle and macroetch testing, and implement a quality system compliant with ISO-9001 or MIL-I-45208.
