The Department of Defense, Navy NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support Mechanicsburg is soliciting a total small business set-aside procurement for a Level One Program stem for a 4-inch ball valve. The work is for a special-emphasis, shipboard critical component that must be manufactured to the cited Newport News Shipbuilding drawing and invoked specifications, with required material certification, testing, traceability, and configuration control. Key requirements include QQ-N-286 material, no weld repair on that material, ultrasonic inspection and other certifications for specified items, a one-year warranty, and compliance with Navy quality assurance and source inspection provisions. Certification data must be submitted to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for review and acceptance through WAWF before each shipment, and no material may be shipped until acceptance is received.
