Echodyne EchoShield Radar System
Contract Opportunity Analysis
The Department of the Air Force, 31st Contracting Squadron at Aviano Air Base in Italy, is seeking to procure an Echodyne EchoShield Radar System for the 57th Rescue Squadron. The requirement includes four EchoShield radars in NATO Green, one Gen 1 Rapid Deployment Kit, a 36-month software update and technical support package, and on-site assembly instruction and training for four to eight personnel. The system must utilize Metamaterials Electronically Steerable Array technology in the Ku-Band, provide a 130-degree azimuth by 90-degree elevation field of view, and be capable of tracking over 1,000 targets simultaneously. This unfunded commercial procurement is set aside for small businesses, and the government intends to award a single, firm-fixed-price purchase order based on technical capability, price, delivery terms, and past performance. Technical submissions and pricing quotes must be emailed to TSgt Joseph Hudson at joseph.hudson.16@us.af.mil by 15:00 Central European Time on September 11, 2026.
