The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs is seeking a U.S. vendor to develop and implement a gold traceability application for Guyana and Suriname to help combat illicit gold mining and smuggling. The work centers on a “pit to port” digital platform with mobile capabilities that supports digital certification, real-time monitoring, automatic flagging of illicit gold, and training for government officials, miners, and buyers. The effort also emphasizes data security and privacy, ongoing monitoring and evaluation, and a firm fixed-price structure covering a base year and three option years, with estimated performance from May 2026 to April 2027.
