Integrated technical assistance services in support of USS WEST VIRGINIA
Contract Opportunity Analysis
The Department of the Navy, NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk, intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price contract to Timken Gears & Services, Inc. for integrated technical assistance services. The contractor will provide technical oversight, engineering support, execution monitoring, repair evaluations, and original equipment manufacturer validation for the Main Reduction Gear aboard the drydocked USS West Virginia. This highly specialized work must be performed at the TRIDENT Refit Facility in Kings Bay, Georgia, utilizing proprietary technical data and drawings held exclusively by the original equipment manufacturer. The contract features a base period of performance from July 21, 2026, through September 29, 2026, with an option period extending to November 15, 2026.
