STEM,FLUID VALVE

The Department of the Navy’s NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support office is soliciting a supply requirement for a stem for a 2 1/2-inch ball valve used in a critical shipboard system. The work centers on furnishing the part in accordance with BUSHIPS drawing 516-2006076 and the specified material and quality requirements, including ASTM-B150 temper TQ50 for the stem, traceability, material certification, and inspection and test documentation. The requirement is treated as special emphasis material with source quality assurance, and NAVSUP WSS will evaluate offers on a lowest-price technically acceptable basis; the award is also subject to emergency acquisition flexibilities and DPAS priority rating. Certification data must be submitted to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for review and acceptance prior to each shipment through WAWF, with no material shipped before acceptance, and the solicitation provides email-only contact through JAMES.E.LEWIS5@NAVY.MIL.
