The Department of Defense, through the Joint Project Manager for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (JPEO-CBRND), is seeking capabilities for the development of a Next Generation Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR) specifically for Special Operations Forces. The PAPR must meet stringent requirements, including a minimum assigned protection factor of 10,000, compatibility with the M53 protective mask, and the ability to provide airflow greater than 4 cubic feet per minute, while maintaining respiratory protection even in the event of power loss. This procurement is critical for ensuring the safety and operational effectiveness of Special Operations and Special Purpose Forces in CBRN environments. Interested parties are encouraged to submit white papers and technical insights detailing their system capabilities, with responses directed to Allison Pizzo at allison.m.pizzo.civ@army.mil by the specified deadline.
