The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 10, is procuring radioactive isotopes to support nuclear medicine services at the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System and the Toledo Community Based Outpatient Clinic. The selected contractor must supply and deliver a wide range of radioactive isotopes, radiopharmaceutical kit vials, chromatography supplies, and diagnostic and therapeutic agents. Key technical requirements include maintaining a valid U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission or Agreement State license, integrating with the VA's Nuclear Medicine Information System, and ensuring that at least 90 percent of Technetium-99m unit doses are derived from non-High Enriched Uranium sources. The resulting five-year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity contract will run from October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2031, requiring 24/7 after-hours coverage and emergency deliveries within 90 minutes.
