IVM-CMS Platform: all-in-one Intravital Microscope (IVM) system

This is a Small Business Sources Sought notice issued by the Department of Health and Human Services, National Institutes of Health (NIH), on behalf of the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS). The purpose of this market survey is to identify qualified small business concerns capable of providing an IVM-CMS Platform, which is a turn-key, all-in-one Intravital Microscope (IVM) system. The required platform must integrate specialized hardware (such as confocal/two-photon microscopy lasers and motion compensation) and dedicated software to enable real-time, high-resolution, long-term imaging of tissues and organs in live animals at the cellular and subcellular levels. The system will support NIEHS research by allowing non-invasive visualization of dynamic biological processes in their native physiological contexts. The government intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract for this system, which must include installation and a three-year extended warranty. The place of performance will be the NIEHS facility in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. Interested small businesses must submit a capability statement of no more than seven pages detailing their qualifications, business size/type, UEI number, and technical personnel. Capability statements must be emailed to Program Specialist Luz Casey at Luz.Casey@nih.gov no later than Tuesday, September 9, 2026, at 9:00 AM EST. This information will assist the government in determining the appropriate acquisition method and potential set-aside opportunities.
