Contract Opportunity Analysis
The Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center, is seeking quotations to procure outboard propeller stern tube bearings. The contractor must supply four horizontally split, flanged stern tube bearings with synthetic rubber facings and cast non-ferrous metal housings manufactured to precise military dimensions for an 11.5-inch shaft sleeve diameter. Standard commercial packaging is unacceptable, and all items must be individually packaged and marked in strict accordance with military standards MIL-STD-2073-1E and MIL-STD-129R. This total small business set-aside will result in a firm-fixed-price contract awarded to the responsible offeror providing the lowest price technically acceptable.
