The VA intends to establish an enterprise-wide, decentralized Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with a five-year period of performance, consisting of a one-year base period and four one-year option periods. The procurement aims to streamline the purchase of MEADs, ensure nationwide product consistency, and secure volume-based standardized pricing. Under the draft Statement of Work, the contractor must supply neck pendants and wristbands equipped with cellular connectivity, GPS tracking, automatic fall detection, and two-way voice communication. Additionally, the contractor must provide 24/7 U.S.-based monitoring services with live agents, complimentary caregiver mobile applications, and a minimum one-year warranty. Standard delivery is required directly to Veterans or VA Medical Centers within 7 business days in the continental U.S. and 14 business days in U.S. Territories.
