The National Institute of Standards and Technology, within the Department of Commerce, is seeking a small-business contractor to provide an ultrapure water system for advanced chemical metrology work in semiconductor manufacturing. The acquisition includes supply and installation of the UPW system, a pretreatment system, and a one-year service agreement covering maintenance. The system must produce Type 1 ultrapure water and include specified components such as an ultrafilter, point-of-use filter, UV/TOC lamp, and TOC monitor, while sustaining a dispense rate greater than 1.5 liters per minute at 30 to 70 psi for up to 8 hours. Performance is at NIST in Gaithersburg, Maryland, and award will be based on the lowest priced technically acceptable quotation.
