Intent to Sole Source to Dow-Key Microwave

The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) has issued a Notice of Intent to award a sole source purchase order to Dow-Key Microwave of Ventura, CA. This procurement is not a request for competitive proposals, as the NRL has determined that Dow-Key Microwave is the only responsible source capable of providing the required supplies and services. The purchase order will include an exclusive licensing agreement, an evaluation fee for PC05 5401-16X16, and a repair fee for PC05. The acquisition will utilize Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13.106-1(b), as the purchase will not exceed the $250,000 simplified acquisition threshold. Interested parties may submit their capabilities to respond, but responses must clearly demonstrate that competition would be advantageous to the Government. The Government reserves the discretion to determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
